Description
The Suzdal Kremlin on a green hill, with a path climbing up to it. The walls are painted in warm ochre and the domes are muted, without golden shine: I wanted a living town, not a postcard.
This is one of the works in my Suzdal series. The Russian provinces offer an amazing combination — mighty ancient walls and completely homely, quiet greenery all around.
Vertical format, 38×28 cm, an original watercolor, one of a kind.
