Description
An old tree with a mossy trunk, surrounded by a tangle of branches and spring grass. The light comes from somewhere behind and to the side, so the forest seems deep, stretching further than you can see.
The moss and bark are painted with texture in several layers, while the background is left almost transparent — this is what creates the depth.
A vertical work, 42×60 cm, the largest format among my forest subjects.
