How should an artist organise their workspace?

an artist’s workspace Where to start?

So what is a workspace for an artist?
Above all, it is a place where you feel comfortable and at ease! Perhaps the main component of this is being able to avoid distraction by discomfort. If you can set aside a separate room for an art studio, you are lucky! But not everyone can afford that. So let’s start with the minimum you need for creative freedom.

Here are a few tips for this:

— it is best to set up your workplace near a north-facing window, where the light will be mostly diffused;
— choose as large a table as your workspace allows;
— you will need a wide cabinet to store your work accessories (paper, paints, rulers, etc.);
— lighting plays a big role, so you need a daylight lamp, preferably with several brightness levels;
— I recommend putting a board on the wall above the table where you can pin or write your ideas, pictures for inspiration or finished works for review;
— you also need at least three cups or containers on the table to hold brushes, pencils and erasers.
